HausofArms/MGM 444 Marlin 22" SS Heavy Contour Encore Barrels

With Ohio now allowing straight walled rifle cartridges for deer, I decided to end my reliance on slugs and turn my muzzleloader into a modern, sport rifle. In shopping for the 'best' option for me personally, I studied ballistic tables for all the big bore options TC had for my ProHunter and there are plenty! With all the choices, I thought I had it down to the 450BM or the 45-70 until Marty coached me to seriously consider the 444 Marlin...and man, am I ever pleased I took his recommendation! I'm half way through breaking in my new MGM barrel in 444 with Hornady 265 gr FTX Leverevolution ammo it is going insanely well. I was able to literally, walk the rounds into the center and the groups are tightening up with each volley! The recoil is noticeably lighter than my buddies 45-70 Henry and the Hornady factory ammo is slowly turning this MGM barreled ProHunter in the most accurate rifle I own.
